This interactive half-day workshop includes presentations, discussions and experiential activities to help participants understand the organizational forces that impact change and the individual traits and characteristics of people who successfully drive change.
It starts with a fun activity that immerses participants in the change experience. Then participants use Charter Oak’s Organization Alignment model to assess the driving and restraining forces impacting a current change initiative. After that, they identify potential sources of resistance to change and develop strategies to overcome them.
The workshop shifts to the human dynamics of change as participants complete the Preferred Work Style Inventory that helps them understand their approach to learning and think about ways to engage others. Finally participants assess their strengths and weaknesses as leaders of change.
Major topics include:
• Organizational forces influencing change
• Change resistance factors
• Human dynamics of change
• Becoming a resilient change manager
